Current Projects Abound!

I work up one day last week and realised I was writing. Not in my sleep, but doing lots of writing projects. My writing on Apple Matters was obviously having the side benefit of drawing me more into writing, giving me momentum. That and the seven-week-settle. I’ve always found it takes me seven weeks to readjust my life after a major change in my life. In this case it was the loss of my job.

Projects I am working on are:

  • My novel, Siddy Bumkin
  • A short story, John Smith
  • A self help book for people like me.
  • A book of my life this year, Don’t Stop When You Can See the Top
  • And of course, these Qwerty Rash blogs.

I’ve set myself a goal to write 1000 words per weekday, and 500 on weekends. That may not sound like much, but Hemmingway’s goal was 400 to 800.

This though includes all projects - so for instance, my weekly article on Apple Matters is usually 1000 words or more, so that covers that day; or on some days I might write spread the 1000 across several projects.
