Journal: Super screen
One of the problems I’ve encountered whilst blogging - especially on my product blog, Go Play AV - is the need for either a very large screen, or two screens. This is necessary because often I am entering info into a post that I need to copy from another site, especially gadget specs.
Since I have a PowerBook which of course has a VGA out, I bought a second screen, a nice big 17 inch LCD. Now I have super size screen - or so it seems looking at the accompanying picture.
This has increased my efficiency noticeably, trimming several minutes off the time takes to write a post for Go Play AV. Previously my best was around 12 minutes, but now I am getting that down to 7, 6 and even five minutes. Most of that gain is from having the two screens since I don’t have to keep switching between applications now.
If you’ve ever thought computing might be easier with two screens for what you do - you’re right, it would be, do it.
