Popularity-share - Microsoft versus Apple
Windows dominates the overall PC market, but its figures are distorted by the corporate sector. I’d like to see a count based on each individual organization business, institute or household where the only question was do they have OS X Windows or Linux on desktop/laptop computers
That would be more indicative of popularity.
Like, if I sold product A and B and 10 people came in and bought a total of 10 product A’s and 5 other people came in and bought 15 product B’s, which is more popular?
I’d say product A.
So if we compared the % of places using Macs to those using Windows, we may find that Macs have a higher “popularity-share” than the 4 or 5% of marketshare.
