Problogger | Outbound Links and their Impact Upon Your Blog
The ProBlogger provides another excellent tip for bloggers, discussing the pros and cons of outbound links in your posts. These operate paradoxically in that they can bring traffic, but also take it away.
“I personally don’t mind other competing outbound links. Most of my blog have many of them and seem to do well - in fact I believe they are part of the reason my sites build traffic”
I am with Andrew at Hosting Diary who says to use the “target=_blank” in your URLs so the page opens in a new window thus leaving your site still open on their computer.
