The Age have an interesting article highlighting the problems facing Australian music listeners.

This is the market Apple is trying to launch iTunes Music Store in (now rumoured for 3rd Oct). But they have the same problem, with at least Sony refusing to sign up. Stupid considering Sony did the same in Japan, and are now banging on Apple’s door asking to join the party.

So it would come as no surprise if it’s found that illegal music swapping is more of a problem in Australia, than in other countries with legal downloads for most music.
