Woohoo! Apple deliver Intel Mac mini
As hoped and expected, Apple have released a new Intel Mac mini based on the Intel CPUs. A little dearer but with some unexpected features.

512MB memory (667MHz DDR2 SDRAM)
60GB Serial ATA hard drive
Combo drive (DVD-ROM/CD-RW)

Option 2: $1299 (Australian)
1.66GHz Intel Core Duo processor
2MB L2 Cache
667MHz Frontside Bus
512MB memory (667MHz DDR2 SDRAM)
80GB Serial ATA hard drive
Double-layer SuperDrive (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
Built-in AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth 2.0
Apple Remote
Both models come with Apple’s Front Row media center management software.
Which ever you buy will have to have the memory bumped to 1GB - especially with the integrated graphics card. Bumping up the hard disk may not be worth it - you’re probably better off buying a large external HDD.
I haven’t decided which to buy yet - I want to see the benchmarks on the Single Core first.
