Writer’s knot
Ha! Writer’s blog, writer’s glug… I’m WAY past them! They’re for amateurs!
I got writer’s knot.
This is when your stomach clenches, your bowels ache, your head hurts and your brain freezes. Ummm.. how is that different to writer’s block? Writer’s block is when you don’t know what to write. Writer’s knot is when you’re afraid to write.
Knot’s an apt word for it since it describes it and also sounds like “not”.
So how do you overcome it? Dunno. Ask me in a couple of days when I reach my deadline.
This post was originally begun on 20/2.

Ok, I’m back. What is the answer?
Sometimes there’s only one way to do something. Your way. That don’t take that too literally. Like, you can’t walk out on the football field and decide you aren’t going to follow the coach’s instructions. But you can play with your own style.
I wrote the piece my way instead of trying to follow someone else’s ideas on how it should be done. This has broken the ice, and next week should make it easier to do it the right way. ![]()
