Apple Matters | PowerPoint Kills Brain Cells

James Stroup makes a power(ful) point about the misuse of technology in his rather cheekily titled “PowerPoint Kills Brain Cells”. (Although he goes on to say, it’s not just PowerPoint but Apple’s Keynote as well)

We are raising up a society that is doing its best not to think and that can only mean trouble in the long run.

I’ve always been against technology for technology’s sake. Presentations are a good example of this as often the person who developed the presentation really doesn’t have a clue about what makes a good presentation, so the tool is wasted, the audience is bored,and as James points out, critical information can be lost on its audience.

Well then! I’d been predicting Microsoft would buy Konfabulator but Yahoo! beat them to it
