What a difference a memory upgrade makes to my Mac!

After much resistance, finally upgraded my Mac’s RAM from 1GB to 3GB. The difference is amazing.

I needed it because I run Windows (in Parallels), Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Safari and Firefox all at the same time. Plus a few others like Mail and Pastor. Not surprisingly that was killing my machine.

Now it flies! Well, it’s not that it’s any faster, per se, it’s just that no matter which app I am in, it works and feels like it is the only app running. No more whirring hard drive, mashing virtual memory.

And even with all those apps open, I’ve still got 1/2 a gig to spare!

Apple iWork’s Numbers the new killer app

Old technology rules!

Have spent the last three days trying to get my student edition of Adobe Creative Suite registered. Five emails from two different email accounts with relevant documentation attached failed to arrive at Adobe.Eventually it seems the problem might be Adobe limiting emails with attachments.
